getting my house in order
Money Trackin': My newest online tool. Budgeting is ever so much easier with tagging enabled. I went to the store for milk today, and came home and entered that purchase into Money Trackin', tagging it with "groceries". Now I can click on the "groceries" tab and see how much I've spent thus far this month and how much is left in my budget for that. Very nice.
In an effort to declutter, I'm selling a lot of my yarn collection on Craigslist. I haven't crocheted for almost a year now, and my RSI is under control but not gone, mostly because I use my laptop trackpad way too often and a mouse would be much more hand-friendly. Sadly, the mouse/typing muscles are the same as the crocheting muscles, so I won't be using any of that yarn any time soon.
I've also been giving away books on BookMooch. I've given away two books (one mailed to Switzerland, one hand-delivered to a woman who lives 5 minutes away) and received one in the mail. Free books! And happy decluttering!
Next on the organizational list will be getting off my ass and joining the Good Food Box program, something I've been meaning to do since... oh, two apartments ago.
I don't know if all these urges to organize and simplify are because I'm living with Mr. Christopher "Vacuums for Fun" Hylarides, or because I overdosed on Apartment Therapy this year.
