Today I checked out Charles Templeton's "Farewell to God" and Nicholas Everitt's "The Non-existence of God". It's amazing, six months ago I would have felt guilty and panicky just looking those books up in the computer system, let alone browsing through the atheism section, checking the books out, and reading them on the bus. I think this is one of my favourite parts of deconversion -- I'm allowed to think whatever I want, and I'm allowed to learn whatever I want. No information is off-limits. The boogey-man will not get me if I read a book.
