To Know and Enjoy God: 12 October 2001
JS mentioned something cool the other night in class. He was talking about Catechism (amazed that most of us had never studied it) and he told us about the opening statement in one of his favourite catechisms:
Q. Why were we created?
A. To know and enjoy God forever.
That's so beautiful. I'm totally receptive to that. JS makes me examine my own heart and rediscover the gospel again. He's melting my bitterness and showing me the light of salvation. Nowhere else do I feel inclined to God. But with JS... and the way he prays! I want that simple honest serious piety he has. He is a Christian I desire to emulate.
