Brought the Wine: 03 August 2001
Okay, so my newest deveolopment is that I can read most of the Gospels. I can read the parts where Jesus is teaching. But the epistles have yet to work with my new take on a relaxed God. S. says that I'm getting ready for Bible College. She teases me and says by Christmas I'll love having all the rules and I'll wonder why I ever liked "those things." I am worried that I'll become a cheesy Bible-College student extraordinaire. We all know I have the potential for it, I think I've demonstrated that fairly well. I need to keep hanging out with people who smoke pot or drink or swear. Otherwise I'll forget (again) how flexible and funny Jesus is.
Why was Jesus' first public miracle at the Cana wedding? Maybe so people wouldn't be intimidated by his religiousity, but would know him as the guy who brought the wine.
