The Bubble: 02 October 2001

I'm wondering if the bible college "bubble" is really a bad thing. I can hear all my summer attitudes screaming, YES! it's bad! get non-Christian influence!, but I'm not sure... That means I'm changing. But, let's ponder this for a bit. If I want to find God and become a passionate Christian (which I'm not sure I do) and also learn who I was made to be, then maybe I need seclusion so I can concentrate on that. Maybe "the world" is distracting and I only love it because I love sin. It's confusing. Do I need to give up South Park for God? Because I've really enjoyed hanging out with M. and being crazy, and I don't want to become unable to do that. I don't want to give up M. for God.

N. did the devotional before supper yesterday and he said he learned last year that if you want to find yourself, you must seek to find God, and you will find yourself through finding God. That makes sense and I haven't been doing that. Perhaps he's on to something.
