Heather Ann, B.A.

I graduated, yay! Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but I've been utterly exhausted. I went home, had a bridal shower for Janice, brought the whole family up to Toronto for a few days, graduated, had a party, brought Jan to the airport, had lunch with my Uncle John, and now I just want to sleep and sleep and sleep. :) It was so great to see everyone, and Convocation went off without a hitch. I was a bit worried about that because I worked on the previous four convocations at York, and they changed a ton of stuff this year, but it went really smoothly! Sorry I didn't get to visit anyone in Brockville, but I am coming back next month sometime, so we'll try to hook something up then!

Did you have any of those signs that said Congradulations? Am I the only one who didn't realize till last year that that isn't the correct spelling but a "clever" pun.
You got to wear a hat! And a black gown and your hoods are much nicer than ours were. I felt like it was choking me and that it was on wrong as I walked across the stage.
And yay!!!! We are graduates!! It is soo exciting!! Congratulations :)
Chad: No, mercifully, my convocation was free from such awful puns! Believe you me though, my father's humour throughout the weekend MORE than made up for such lack. (e.g. Two birds are sitting on a perch. One of them says, "Do you smell fish?" Groan...)
Sanda: Not only did I get to WEAR a hat, I got to KEEP said hat, and I will let you wear it sometime! And our hoods were equally strangling, but they had a little cord on the front which I threaded through the zipper on my gown to keep it from attempting to choke me.
Hannie, I'm not going to lie: you looked awesome in that hat. Hot hot hot. :) :) :)
Congrats :)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Graduation was a crazy/awesome/stressful/insane time for me, so I can feel how crazy things must have been recently...
Congratulations and best wishes, Heather Ann! I've enjoyed reading your posts about linguisics--very interesting--and can sense that you more than deserve that degree.
I just received my M.A. diploma via courier this week--one convocation was more than enough for me!--and am now concentrating on being a full-time mommy (alas?).
xox.
