risen!
I haven't blogged for over a week, but I have a good excuse! You see, last week I got in a little tangle with the authorities and they KILLED me, but then three days later I was resurrected, so it's all good. Oh, wait, that wasn't me. Well, then I suppose I don't have a good excuse. Sorry about that.
My sister, Melissa, came up to visit me this past weekend and we had fun. We went to the One of a Kind Show and bought a towel for our little nephew, and it is dark green and has dragon scales and a hood, so that when he comes out of the bath he can be a dragon and ROAR!! He already roars, and it'll be that much more cute with a dragon suit. :)
I also crocheted a teddy bear for my mom because I LOVE HER and it is her birthday on April 13th, but I forgot to take a picture of it because I suck. Dammit! But it was cute (if amateur) and I hope she likes it.
Did you know that octopuses can walk on two of their tentacles like legs? Video one and two. Via MonkeyFilter (more amazing octopus facts within!).

i gotta admit, while the octopus thing was cool, it was still kind of weak. i mean i was expecting to see and octopus on the beach and then all the spring breakers come along so he gets up and rund back to the ocean. I mean does it really count as walking if he's underwater, it's more like pushing itself. Then again perhaps this is the first step in higher evolution. Sound wierd? well who would have thought that the lizard and then the monkey would rule? I welcome our soon to be octopuss overlords.
Doug, you will be happy to hear this then, as I read on MonkeyFilter:
"The octopussies at our Vancouver aquarium used to sneak out at night and gobble up fishies in near-by tanks and then slip back home, innocent as lambses. Video caught the octo-star. Sneaky little inksters."
I've heard about it before but my google-fu is weak this morning.
oh the great confussion.. you have a nephew? which of the great kaldeway sisters is prego or has had a baby? and why have i not been informed? as a childhood friend, i really ought to be informed of such babies,,,

Did I say nephew? I did, yes. I meant to say "cousin", but he is 3 and kind of forget that he is a cousin because all of my other cousins are of child-bearing age--most of them are older than me and have children older than this cousin. Anyways, yes, child of my uncle, not one of the immediate immediate family.
